1. About Us

AME Rentals Ltd (Company No. 16733322) is a vehicle rental company registered in England & Wales. References to "AME Rentals", "we", "us", or "our" refer to AME Rentals Ltd.

2. Eligibility & Driver Requirements

• You must be at least 21 years of age and hold a full, valid UK or EU driving licence.
• Your licence must have been held for a minimum of 2 years.
• You must have no more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
• You must have no disqualifications in the past 5 years.
• You must provide a valid photo driving licence and proof of your current address before the rental starts.
• You must hold a valid credit or debit card in your name for the security deposit.

3. Bookings & Confirmation

• A booking is only confirmed once a security deposit has been paid and you have received written confirmation.
• We reserve the right to cancel a booking if a vehicle becomes unavailable. We will offer an alternative vehicle or a full refund.
• All prices are in GBP (£) inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

4. Security Deposit

• A refundable security deposit is required at the time of booking.
• The deposit will be returned in full within 5 working days of the vehicle being returned in the same condition, on time, with no outstanding fines.
• We reserve the right to retain all or part of the deposit to cover damage, excess mileage, fuel shortfalls, late return charges, or outstanding fines.

5. Rental Period & Late Returns

• The rental period begins and ends at the times stated in your rental agreement.
• You must notify us at least 24 hours in advance to extend your rental. Extensions are subject to availability.
• Vehicles returned late without prior notice will be charged at the daily rate pro-rata for each additional day.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

• Cancel 48+ hours before rental start: Full deposit refund.
• Cancel 24–48 hours before rental start: 50% of deposit refunded.
• Cancel less than 24 hours / no-show: Deposit is non-refundable.
• Cancellations must be submitted in writing via our website or email.

7. Vehicle Use

• Driven only by the named hirer(s) stated in the rental agreement.
• Used solely for lawful purposes on public roads in the United Kingdom.
• Prohibited: racing, off-road driving, sub-letting, use outside the UK without prior written consent, carrying hazardous materials, or any illegal activity.
• The vehicle must not be smoked in. A cleaning charge of up to £150 will be levied for smoking.
• The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as provided.

8. Insurance & Damage

• All vehicles are provided with comprehensive insurance as required by law.
• In the event of an accident or damage, you must report it to us immediately and obtain the other party's details.
• You are liable for the first £500 of any damage caused during your rental, up to the value of your deposit.

9. Vehicle Condition & Inspections

• A pre-rental inspection will be conducted before handover. You will receive a condition report.
• A post-rental inspection will be conducted on return. Any new damage will be documented.

10. Traffic Offences & Fines

You are responsible for all traffic penalties, fines, congestion charges, and toll fees incurred during your rental period. An administration fee of £30 will be applied for each fine we receive on your behalf, in addition to the penalty amount.

11. Limitation of Liability

AME Rentals' total liability shall not exceed the total rental charges paid for that specific rental. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
