Terms & Conditions

Eligibility

• You must hold a valid UK or accepted foreign driving licence.
• You must provide proof of address and identity when requested.
• Additional eligibility checks may apply depending on the hire.
• We reserve the right to refuse hire without providing a reason.

Booking & payment

• All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.
• Rental charges are confirmed in writing before handover.
• A refundable security deposit is required before vehicle release.
• Payments are processed via our approved payment providers.
• Invoices are issued by AME Rentals for each rental period.

Deposit

A security deposit is required for all hires. The deposit may be used to cover:

• Vehicle damage or missing items
• Excess mileage (where applicable)
• Late returns
• Fines, penalties, or charges incurred during hire
• Cleaning or valeting beyond normal wear

Vehicle condition & inspection

• Vehicle condition is recorded at handover.
• You must inspect the vehicle before accepting it.
• Any issues must be reported immediately at collection.
• The vehicle must be returned in similar condition (fair wear and tear excepted).

Use of the vehicle

• The vehicle must be used lawfully and responsibly.
• No sub-hiring or lending without written permission.
• No racing, towing, or off-road use unless agreed.
• No illegal, dangerous, or overloaded use.
• Smoking is not permitted in the vehicle.

Insurance & liability

Vehicles are insured subject to policy terms and excess.

• The hirer is responsible for any insurance excess.
• Damage caused by negligence or misuse is fully chargeable.
• Insurance may be invalidated if terms are breached.

Breakdown, accidents & incidents

• Any accident or damage must be reported immediately.
• Police must be informed where legally required.
• Replacement vehicles are not guaranteed.
• Failure to report incidents may result in liability.

Fines, penalties & charges

• You are responsible for all fines and penalties incurred.
• This includes parking, congestion, tolls, and traffic offences.
• An administration fee may apply for processing notices.

Termination

We may terminate a hire immediately if these terms are breached, payments fail, or the vehicle is misused.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AME Rentals is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of earnings, or business interruption.

Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
